Microarray scanner is consist of Laser Scanning part and computer control part. Laser Scanning utilizes Confocal technology, the scanner offers 543 nm and 633 nm excitation wavelengths to accommodate Cyanine 3 and Cyanine 5 fluorescent dyes. It can be used for protein arrays to determine protein-protein interactions or used as micro ELISA platforms, living arrays to determine gene expression at the protein level, SNP analysis to detect genetic variations at the single nucleotide level and tissue scanning to detect tumor specific antigens represent a range of applications. It can be used with wet or dry samples (with or without cover slips) as well as tissue samples.
