On November 1, the "2019 Senegal Bamboo and Rattan Utilization Seminar" hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and undertaken by the ICBR was successfully concluded in Beijing. Twenty senior officials from Senegal attended the closing ceremony. 

Since 2005, ICBR has held 52 foreign-aid training courses on bamboo and rattan, desertification prevention and flower and gardening with the support of the Ministry of Commerce of China and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China. A total number of 1803 government officials, experts and craftsmen from 84 countries participated in these seminars, which have played an active role in promoting the development of the world's bamboo and rattan industry, the spread of flower and gardening skills, and the prevention and control of global desertification.
