Dr. Tang Feng is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the International Centre for Bamboo and Rattan (ICBR) and serves as the Deputy Director of ICBR’s Research Institute of Chemical Utilization of Bamboo & Rattan Resources. His research interests include biomass active components utilization; biomedical products; bio-pesticide; bamboo-based healthcare products; functional mechanism and metabolic conversion of natural active substance.

During his career, Dr. Tang has received multiple academic grants from the National Natural Science Foundation and National Key Scientific Research Projects of China, etc. He won 10 provincial Science and Technology Progress Award; published over 260 journal papers on Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry, Food & Function, Journal of AOAC International, Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, etc.

Dr. Tang is also a Member of the National Technical Committee for standardization of forest chemical products and the President of bamboo food and daily necessities branch of China Bamboo Industry Association.
