On September 12, 2019, under the witness of Mr. ZHANG Jianlong, Administrator of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China, and Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Mr.YIN Gangqiang, Deputy Director of ICBR and Mr. Vo Dai Hai, Dean of the Vietnam Academy of Forestry Sciences signed the "Framework Agreement for Cooperation between the International Center for Bamboo and Rattan and the Vietnam Academy of Forestry Sciences".

 

In the future, the two parties will carry out key cooperation in specific areas such as efficient cultivation of bamboo and rattan resources, research and development of bamboo and rattan high value-added processing and utilization technologies, and bamboo forest certification. The signing of this cooperation agreement will help China and Vietnam to deepen cooperation in the development and utilization of bamboo and rattan resources and promote the development of the bamboo industry in Vietnam. After the signing ceremony, Mr. YIN Gangqiang participated in the first seminar of the Sino-Vietnamese Forestry Working Group. At the meeting, he briefly introduced ICBR and carried out exchanges with representatives from the Vietnam Forestry Bureau.
