Conducts the research and utilization of natural products of bamboo, rattan, and other biological resources; research and development of biopesticides and biological medicine; and research on the production and processing of edible forest products.

Conducts the promotion and commercialization of the technologies developed by the Research Institute and provides relevant technical consultation and other services.

Support the work of the Secretariat of the Branch of Bamboo Food and Articles of Daily Use of China Bamboo Industry Association.
