Wang Jin, a professor, has been working at the Institute of Chemical Utilization of Bamboo and Rattan Resources of International Centre for Bamboo and Battan (ICBR) since 2004. His main research interests include screening, extraction and isolation active compounds from plants, as well as research & development of environmental friendly pesticide. He received his Ph.D. in Ecology at Chinese Academy of Forestry, Beijing, China, in 2012. He has published over 70 academic papers and has trained more than 10 postgraduate students. He has obtained over 10 national invention patents to date. He has won a total of four Liang Xi forestry science and technology awards from the Chinese Society of Forestry.
