Dr. Wang Ge is a professor who served as the research group leader of bamboo fibre composites at the International Center for Bamboo and Rattan (ICBR), the project leader of the 13th Five-Year Plan Project on Value-added Bamboo Material of China, and an expert of ISO Technical Committee on Bamboo and Rattan (ISO/TC 296).
Dr. Wang Ge received his Ph.D. degree in wood science and technology from the Chinese Academy of Forestry in 2003. His research interests include the processing technology on bamboo-wood composite materials, bamboo-wood structural components, as well as bamboo fiber-based composites. He has presided and completed more than 40 international or national research projects. His academic achievements include: more than 150 publications;10 national and industrial standards as the editor-in-chief; 10 scientific and technological appraisal achievements, 20 authorized national patents; 3 published books, etc. He has won a first prize of Chinese National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, a first prize of Liang Xi Forestry Science and Technology Award, and a second prize from the Society of Wood Science & Technology.
